A Nine year old boy, Tristan Charlton Dunsford, was found dead in Little Grand Rapids First Nation, located about 300 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Second degree murder charges have been laid on a 16 year old boy from the same reserve. 1100 band members live on that reserve and, in such a small community, I am sure all of them are being affected in some way by this tragic story. Gloucester High School of Gloucester, Massachusetts has 17 pregnant girls in their role call; all of them sixteen years of age or younger. I found this kind of funny. Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was a Dutch painter of the early and mid 1600’s. He is considered to be one of the greatest painters to come out of Europe. Apparently, a Rembrandt painting which was assessed as a knockoff by an auction house, ended up being the real deal. The auction house valued the painting at $3,100 and sold for $4.5 million dollars.
