A Nine year old boy, Tristan Charlton Dunsford, was found dead in Little Grand Rapids First Nation, located about 300 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Second degree murder charges have been laid on a 16 year old boy from the same reserve. 1100 band members live on that reserve and, in such a small community, I am sure all of them are being affected in some way by this tragic story. There are already free alternatives on the market for many of Microsofts products. Ubuntu is based on an operating system called Debian Linux and is free to anyone for any use. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN for short, has approved to lift restrictions on domain names. Currently, we are only allowed to register certain top-level domains such as .com, .ca, .net, .org, etc. But this new move by ICANN opens the door for many, many, more variations. No this isn’t the hollywood version of ‘12 days of Christmas’. Although, hollywood is being blamed for this recent act of teenage stupidity. Gloucester High School of Gloucester, Massachusetts has 17 pregnant girls in their role call; all of them sixteen years of age or younger. I found this kind of funny. Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was a Dutch painter of the early and mid 1600’s. He is considered to be one of the greatest painters to come out of Europe. Apparently, a Rembrandt painting which was assessed as a knockoff by an auction house, ended up being the real deal. The auction house valued the painting at $3,100 and sold for $4.5 million dollars. I’m sure you’ve heard about this crazy rising trend in the gas and dash department. People fill up and take off without paying. What I find funny is the public response regarding this. It’s pretty sad that people are actually justifying these blokes by saying the oil companies deserve it. Sure I hate oil companies but that doesn’t give anybody any real reason to steal from them.
